Today, I had a fairly random idea for a video. A few weeks ago we visited the wonderful Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or, a Peter Auto event at the Dijon-Prenois circuit. The whole track was initially only 3.2 kilometres long, which was too short for F1 to be able to race it after which they added the so called “Parabolique” making the track 3.9 kilometres long.
About 1.2 kilometres of the total of 3.9 is simply a beautiful straightaway on which the cars reach tremendous speeds and pass you with eardeafening engine sounds coming from cilinders firing on full power. We were lucky enough to be able to stand right at the pit wall, and what else could I have done then take out my camera and capture the best of the best passing us at full throttle!
